 About The Role :

1] Design, manufacture and fit Orthotic and Prosthetic devices, based on physicians’ prescriptions plus examination and measurement of patients through a holistic approach taking into consideration the individual disabilities, age and cultural beliefs.
2] Measurement and Fitting of Medical Compression Garments.
3] Measurement and Modification of Surgical Footwear and Insoles.
4] Work within a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals, taking into account the importance of family and community in the rehabilitation of an individual.
5] Make modified plaster casts of areas that will be fitted with Orthoses or Prostheses.
6] Select materials and components to be used on device design.
7] Repair, Rebuild and Modify Orthotic and Prosthetic Appliances.
8] Train, and Supervise support staff, like Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistant Technicians.
9] Constructs fabricate appliances or supervise others constructing the appliances.
10] Demonstration and instruction of Orthotic and Prosthetic devices to healthcare workers with regards to the application and maintenance of such devices.
11] Update skills and research new ways to construct as well as use Orthotic and Prosthetic devices.
12] Maintain patients records.
13] Practice safe working routines and housekeeping procedures at all times according to the Health and Safety Act.
